The Android application for remote host management via SSH rejects the complex paradigm in which traditional SSH remote management tools merely replicate PC applications; it is streamlined in accordance with the characteristics of mobile operation, supports convenient switching among different connections and loading and executing preconfigured commands, and is suited to scenarios involving temporary host connections while away from home or office.
Android
This is an Android application designed for remote host management via SSH. Most mobile SSH applications follow the design of PC-based SSH applications: they generally display a command-line window for users to enter SSH commands and provide, beneath that window, some or all of the keyboard buttons used for command input. In some cases, the buttons cannot be fully displayed and require multiple screens, or, on different mobile devices, button labels are incomplete or misaligned, rendering operation impossible. Because mobile device screens are limited in size and the number of keyboard buttons to be displayed is excessive, such applications are highly user-unfriendly. The author also found this deeply inconvenient, which led to the creation of this application. It is designed in accordance with the operational characteristics of mobile devices, managing SSH connections and commands as two types of resources. By allowing users to predefine SSH connections and a series of frequently used commands, it avoids the repeated keyboard input of complex commands during use, thereby achieving the goal of enabling remote connection to hosts and command execution anytime and anywhere while away from home. Of course, it can also temporarily execute commands that have not been predefined and supports adding such commands to the command list at any time for convenient future invocation.
